Brief

Domino’s Pizza want to engage with University students during Fresher’s Week, and incentivise purchases via loyalty and rewards.

EXPERTS IN DIGITAL INNOVATION

Producing concepts that will engage with your audience and ultimately connect them with your brand.

We are looking for an engaging mechanic that will allow University students to earn rewards and freebies by engaging with an app, and drive product sales at Fresher’s Fairs and thereafter. This would be done by giving students chances to win prizes (discounts & gadgets), plus the more Domino’s products they purchase the closer they’ll get to winning a free pizza.

The app will need to be deployed at various Universities across the UK. We will want to promote consumer take-up pre Fresher’s Week, via social and digital campaigns.

Concept

What’s in your Box?

Students will be invited to download the “What’s in your Box?” app throughout Fresher’s Week, for their chance to win prizes and collect ‘slices’ to win a free pizza.

What’s in your Box? is an interactive loyalty card concept, where players are invited to collect slices to complete a whole pizza, which when completed will reward the player with a free pizza. Each time students purchase a Domino’s pizza/product, they will get a unique code to enter into the app which will unlock a slice, as well as give them a chance to win a prize.

Students will receive their first slice and chance to win a prize, when they initially complete the registration form after downloading the app.

Rate of Sale Driver

Each time a student purchases a Domino’s pizza/product they will be given a unique code on a sticker, and invited to enter it into the app. Once entered and validated to ensure it’s a genuine code and it hasn’t already been used, the user will be presented with another slice of pizza.

They will also get a chance to win a prize by tapping on ‘Next’ and swiping open the pizza box to reveal what prize they have won.

Instant Win

Players will also get a chance to win an instant prize each time they collect a slice, by swiping open the pizza box and revealing what’s inside. If they win an instant prize, a claim button will be displayed on the screen which can be redeemed at key Domino’s locations.

If the player doesn’t want to claim their prize just yet, they can click on the pizza icon at the bottom right of the screen, which will take them back to the ‘Knead Pizza?’ page.

Instant win prizes are fully managed by our Clever Campaign manger which is a unique gamming engine that controls the exact amount of winners and prizes that have been allocated, per Domino’s location.

User Engagement

Consumers will be invited to accept and play via Social and Digital channels pre Fresher’s Week, or register at the Fresher’s Fair itself by scanning a Snapchat Code or visiting the website via their smartphone.

Redemption

When a customer wins/earns a reward, a claim voucher will be stored within their app under the ’Wallet’ section. When the customer opens their wallet all of their rewards and vouchers will be displayed as visual tiles, and when clicked on, the tile will expand and show redemption instructions and the location (+ directions) to their nearest participating store.

On arrival to the store, a staff member will ask the customer to present their voucher on their device. The voucher will display the reward that is about to be claimed and the location of the store they’re in. The staff member will confirm the claim by tapping confirm on the customers device. All redemptions will then be stored separately by the store to give you a comprehensive breakdown of which vouchers have been claimed and which stores they’ve been claimed in.

Initially, we propose to make rewards redeemable as collection only, however we will then look to integrate online discount codes to capitalise on the national roll out.

Sales Push

As part of our on going service, we propose to incentives users to “Opt-In” to receive additional chances to win rewards. To achieve this, user data will be securely stored and a personalised push notification will be sent to customers reminding them to use vouchers before they expire, as well as inviting them to purchase to win more rewards. We propose to send one push notification a week to drive sales throughout the incentive. Analytics will be stored against the push campaigns to monitor and optimise future campaigns.
